Hiring Academy Manager

Job Overview:

Started in 2012 by a husband-and-wife team, Blue Line Aviation is a professional pilot school located at the Johnston Regional Airport in Smithfield, NC. We strive to push the status quo in flight training while providing quality and innovative training to our students.*

We are seeking full time Academy Managers for at our corporate office in Smithfield, NC. At our school, we divide each certificate/rating into its own academy (i.e. Private Academy, Instrument Academy, etc.). Each academy has its own instructors and an Academy Manager, for which this position is for.

*COVID vaccination NOT a requirement for this position.

Responsibilities include:
  • Promote a safety-focused environment.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company policy.
  • Foster a community of ownership and dedication to excellence
  • Ensure standardization across training.
  • Oversee student progress and success.
  • Oversee instructors and academy leads.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Private pilot license
  • Instrument rating
  • Commercial pilot license
  • CFI rating
  • CFII rating
  • 1st Class Medical
Education, Work Experience, Etc.
  • Must have CFI, CFII, and MEI certificates.
  • Must have a current pass rate of 80%.
  • Must have at least 3 years of flight instructor or chief pilot experience.
  • Must have current 1st year medical.
